A month ago we were discussing the details of the return of Beth Orton, who published his first album in six years on 2 otubre. Sugaring Season will be called, will contain ten new songs and a cast of great musicians that guarantee the quality of music. The latter was evident in "Something more Beautiful" , an aperitif artist that introduced us. Now it's time for another album cuts: "Magpie".

Beth Orton

At the moment only can hear it on the website of Rolling Stone, but it sure in the next few hours we found on YouTube or SoundCloud.

What does it sound? This is a breakthrough that dispenses with the jazz and opts more for the folk. The predominance of acoustic guitars and vocal melodies of the principle tells us that a song is less intimate than "Something more Beautiful." In fact, after a few seconds, gathering pace until reaching an instrumental part with string arrangements that is very spiritual, especially in the chorus that the very Beth adds. We consider it as a tribal song while retaining a style and elegance very particular.

Although still too early to venture to say it can be one of the releases of the year, certainly seems to have all the ingredients to make us enjoy: good compositions, good performances and, above all, a very strong personality.

You can see all the concerts of the singer confirmed on Songkick . At the moment there are only dates in the U.S. and some European countries, but nothing in Spain or Latin America.
