The Shins are on tour presenting his latest studio album, Port of Morrow . In his stop in Australia, the group came as a guest on Like a Version of the local radio and Triple J, apart from one of his recent play new songs, they decided to launch an acoustic version of "Andrew in Drag" by Magnetic Fields. Not the first time the American band does a cover of Magnetic Fields. In recent years, have chosen more than once in the song "Strange Powers" to pass through the filter of The Shins. Now it was the turn of the last songs released by the Boston quintet. We refer to "Andrew in Drag", published in Love at the Bottom of the Sea , which went on sale last March: If the original song had a hook for something special trade-was-single, the acoustic version of The Shins have not left anything behind for. So much gets the cover that I think I prefer the version more than the original. I like the vocal arrangements, simple and effective, and natural sounding theme with an acoustic guitar, piano and small bits of percussion so simple.
