As reported by the Daily Star , Queen return to the stage this year without Paul Rodgers. Instead, the vocalist who must defend the position of Freddie Mercury will be Adam Lambert, the contestant runner of the eighth season of American Idol.

On November 6, 2011 performed with Brian May and Roger Taylor at the MTV EMA's. His work has not gone unnoticed because he played three great hits of the band ("The Show Must Go On", "We Will Rock You" and "We Are the Champions") with an amazing energy and security. Since then his name was on all the pools on an alleged return of Queen.

Finally Queen will tour in 2012 and was revealed to be one of the main groups of the Sonisphere festival, though not confirmed what specific issues (one is for sure, English).

Moreover, it appears that the young singer has assumed the role with humility and without pretending to overshadow him to Freddie Mercury:

The intention is to pay tribute to Freddie and the group singing a handful of great songs. It's about keeping the music alive for the fans and give them the energy that Freddie would have been proud. I was not going through your head replace Freddie. That is impossible.

While we wait for more dates for the tour, this announcement will come in handy because Adam published his second studio album, Trespassing on 20 March, so that the promotional work has practically resolved.

Otherwise, I think incorporate vocals was a good decision because you can bring something new to Queen and, above all, because they enjoy plenty of talent to the public that, after all, is what it is. What will happen over the head with Paul Rodgers now?
