Teenage Fanclub is one of those bands that have been consolidated without much fuss a recording career full of jewels and hearing many good times, thanks largely to the expertise of its three permanent members, who share responsibilities in music composition as the letters and vowels. The trio has also formed numerous alternative groups and collaborated with some of the most important projects in his native Scotland, which now are joined by a new group product of the concerns of their bassist and vocalist Gerard Love.

Although the lyrics and composition are mainly the musician, it does not want his new solo project seems an effort, hence the group decided to make it and give it a name evocative and ambiguous that could provide an air a little fuzzy to music. Thus was born Lightships, banda is in alignment with such talented people like Dave McGowan, also of Teenage Fanclub, Brendan O 'Hare, who was part of the same group a few years ago, Tom Crossley International Airport and The Pastels and Bob Kildea, bassist Belle and Sebastian.

And the name and alignment list, all that remained was to define Love the sound of their songs, which in this case are as a support to the flute and the effects of tremolo and delay. Thus, the musician created a nice collection of themes and immediate function as a kind of soundtrack, meeting on his debut album titled Electric Cables, which will be released on CD, vinyl and digital on April 2 through of Geographic, one of the subsellos Domino Records.

The plate contains 10 tracks and her first single is titled "Two Lines", a gentle pop song arrangements fairy tales and lost summers definitely reminds each of the groups they belong to those involved but also has an air very own. Your video is equally evocative images of boats, seagulls and sunsets by the sea with old film effects that go well with this song, great preview of what will undoubtedly be a good album if we rely on the quality of their composers.
