A bucolic landscape, nostalgia in a drink. The only sounds of fluttering of hundreds of pigeons when back to flight after the sound of the bells of San Marcos. Yes, it's Venice, the gondola rides to and furtive kisses along the canals. The pale colors and the heart was torn. and there, almost next to the Plaza de San Marcos is one of the bars closed most classic of all Europe. A famous hangout of culture, as Ernest Hemingway and Orson Welles, normal site. It's Harry's Bar which tables are open to the Great Lake beyond the mouth of the Grand Canal.

Bellini Cocktail

It was in Harry's Bar where the cocktail was born of that today I speak: the Bellini, put his name in memory of the late great Renaissance Venetian painter Giovanni Bellini.

Was Giuseppe Cipriano, owner of Harry's Bar in 1948, who gave her name after verifying the success of the drink, specially designed for romantic moments and elegant. It is soft, sparkling, sweet and very refreshing and low alcohol content. Today, such is the fame and the fans who have the Bellini cocktail to sell packs with bottles and accurate measurements to prepare without problems.

Here is the Bellini cocktail recipe:

  • 1 / 3 of peach juice (peach)
  • 2 / 3 of champagne

This would be the simple recipe, as usually is the practice in many places. However, not the original nor the lovers of a good Bellini be taken. And is that true Bellini is made with:

  • 1 / 3 of yellow peach puree
  • 2 / 3 of an Italian sparkling wine that is made from grapes such as "prosecco".

The drink, very cold, served in a glass of type "goblet" that is, standing tall but calyx width, and usually garnish with a slice of peach on the edge.
