Ecológic0 Gadget: Charger for water-based smartphones. myFC, a Swedish firm has created a mobile phone charger at once, known as the PowerTrekk, which uses water to produce energy for their smartphones .

PowerTrekk mixing water with a dry chemical called sodium silicide to generate hydrogen gas can be fed to the cells through the fuel cell technology. The PowerTrekk was put on display at CES 2012.

It's exciting to see how the mobile charger water based works. The device contains a hockey puck as the cartridge, called the Powerpukk that holds the powder and water at both ends. The chemical reaction inside the cartridge generates hydrogen, which is the battery fuel to produce energy for its smartphones , table lamps or any other device connected to your USB connector.

There is nothing to worry about the chemicals used in PowerTrekk. This is a non-toxic and is discharged only water vapor, in addition to gas, the company said. Powerpukk cartridge is also resistant to corrosion and leak proof. You can use salt water and pure PowerTrekk process.

The magazine serves the same amount of energy that four AA batteries. In fact, it becomes an environmentally friendly choice for energy that can replace the cartridge with a new one. In this way, you can re-use the charger again and again.

The charger PowerTrekk hit stores in May or June this year for between U $ S 200 and U $ S $ 250. For a new cartridge, you will have to spend $ S 4. Headquarters in New York has Signa Powerpukk cartridge to the magazine. Watch the video below to see how PowerTrekk.
