Julian Assange will make a cameo in Chapter 500 of The Simpsons

By now everyone knows who is Julian Assange . Founder of Wikileaks , controversial man, figure advocated by many and reviled by many others. Assange not leave anyone indifferent, and perhaps for that reason, wanted him as a guest on The Simpsons . The executive producer of the series, Al Jean , had heard the rumor that he was interested in Springfield Assange and being "simpsonizado", so I talked to Matt Groening, after weighing the pros and cons, asked the casting director Bonnie Pietila , who liaise with the founder of Wikileaks. Al Jean explains that the decision to incorporate Assange to the long list of guests from the series was not all easy:

It is a controversial figure, and there is good reason to understand the controversy. We debated whether or not to include in the program, but finally decided that yes, and we did.

Assange will voice his cartoon in the episode number 500 (amazing) series, the chapter will be issued next February 19. The plot centers on a secret meeting to be held and in which the people of Springfield decide to expel the Simpsons in the city. Homer and his family decide to disappear and are installed in a remote place, there Assange will find to be something like a new Flanders. Of course, this new kid is not as innocent and good-natured Flanders. The executive producer of The Simpsons warns us:
