novedades de Ps Vita en la GamesCom 2012

It is well known that Sony has had many problems lately with the Playstation 3 console and lower sales from its competitors and the PlayStation Vita struggling to get more sales, but the Japanese company does not give up and instead has decided to give all your effort to make the Vita gives more value to buyers.

First announced today that as of Aug. 28 when you leave the 1.80 update, the PlayStation Vita will be able to play PSone downloadable games, and not only that, but taking advantage of their role-play Cross, have decided to give the versions Vita of games that are available on both systems as Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault, Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time and All-Stars Battle Royale.

Other features of the update 1.80 include:

  • The Cross Controller mode allowing control of PS3 games with Vita similarly to the Wii GamePad U (shown in 2012 with the game GamesCom LittleBigPlanet).
  • Playlists for the music player.
  • Improvements in the browser, maps and video playback.
  • Button controls enabled on the home screen and applications such as music and video.
  • Format Support MPO (Multi Picture Object) for photos.
  • Ability to attach photos to e-group.

No doubt these are all benefits for those who already possess the Vita, but it is clear that Sony hopes these new features (especially the one that makes a PS3 + Wii PS Vita resemble a U) encourage more people to purchase their portable console.
