A few years ago I saw my husband playing a warrior riding a great locale. Suddenly, the warrior disappeared his mount, click-a bug (a Murlock NPC, I know) and began to deploy an incredible amount of melee moves. "World of Warcraft" told me the game was called, and encouraged me to create a test toon and that was the beginning of everything, first began helping me but it was not long for it and gain exceeded my first epic while raideaba up late at night. He was a casual player, I had become a hardcore and problems arose. Something like:
There should be no surprise that this stone in the way of my relationship is a case that is repeated many times and at levels that end in breakups and even divorces. The Brigham Young University conducted a study in couples where one is immersed in the MMO as W orld of Warcraft and surveys indicate that 65% of people who do not play video games have constant fights with their partners, and 75% say the habit of his other half has had negative effects, they are not happy and feel "in widowhood because the game." Neil Lundberg, one of the authors of the study commented:
But satanizemos the MMO, the study also found that couples who play together have a positive effect on the experience, 74% of couples surveyed who play MMORPG s report to lead a healthy relationship, indicating that it is not the games separate relationships, what hurts is not having common activities and not given enough attention. The study used the average player about 22 hours a week and it disrupts the work, sleep and meal times, plus you can accentuate depressive symptoms while providing an environment where you get satisfaction of both our skills in the game as well as the camaraderie that develops when part of a highly social experience. Who does not like to connect and find that you held a position in the raid because your dps is the best? This kind of thing is what makes some disengage from real life and build a new achievement-based, gold and epic armor. But again, MMOs are not bad, are a tool of entertainment, fun and understandable passion, we decide how to use these tools, although I must say that WoW has many addictive elements of which on another occasion, and manage our obsessions. After all it is well known that some people have been known in the game and now live a full, though the reverse is also true. If one day strolling by WoW Detox , you can read stories of real despair. And what happened to me? Well, 15 wipes in a row and a mouse shattered against the wall (and a palpable distance with my husband) made me see that my gambling was a little out of control, so I canceled my subscription, but there is always this desire to return to explore the corners of Azeroth. In closing, I leave you this video (in English) portraying this theme in a graceful, if somewhat sad. Banner image: Anamaris on Deviant Art Comic image: Penny Arcade
