Flickr is one of the most popular services to host and share photos on the network without having to log in to view them (unlike other networks such as Facebook). Flickr has a pretty clean interface and easy to use, however, was perhaps too long without evolving so, a year ago, began working on a new redesign of the web interface, as announced by the product manager , will be released on 28 February. Changing the interface of Flickr will be quite radical and, when activated, we will see a white page with thumbnail images and texts to advance to a mosaic of images with a size four times larger and in which textual information appear when you mouse over them and highlights the image in a manner similar to the results of Google Image Search. Another new Flickr redesign released next Tuesday is the new interface to upload new images to work by dragging and dropping the photos (drag and drop).
For Yahoo! , Flickr is one of its great strengths and, indeed, one of the differential values. So much so that, finally, the company has been aware of the importance of treating well and provide adequate assistance to service users so it has allocated sufficient resources to gauge the support service users to be able to provide 24x7 mode service worldwide. If we add a slight reduction in the cost of Flickr Pro service, which is very significant in a competitive environment where, for example, Picasa is offered free with the addition of a native integration with Google +. The redesign, in my view, is a good move and, frankly, he needed some facelift to the service because he had been somewhat stagnant. Anyway, wait a whole year to apply may have been waiting too long and would have been wrong not to raise interest service changes implemented gradually. The two strokes that have shown me a good impression and it is possible that the service earn enough, now a matter of waiting a week to prove it.
