As usual, days before the big circus of Mobile World Congress, companies start to get nervous and drop items to soothe the minds of consumers. The first to do so this year was LG officially showing what appears in princpio rival this year for the hybrid Samsung Galaxy Note. LG Vu is a smartphone Optimus 5 inches - or Superphone, or tablet - with a really peculiar, and a peculiarity it shares with its direct competition, stylus interface. The big phone from LG, which already saw above in a leak, it incorporates a 5-inch screen, as I said, but in 4:3 format, which is quite unusual for a device of this kind, and gives a more square look quite bulky than other alternatives. The panel, IPS, has a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels and supports "digital pen", which can be exploited as in the case of the competition with various special applications of LG. Optimus Vu, has LTE connectivity, and with only 8.5mm profile, boasts of being the smartphone features, "slimmest" according to LG. The hybrid comes with very interesting specifications as a dual-core 1.5Ghz, 1GB of RAM, 8-megapixel camera, 32GB of internal storage and a battery of 2,080 milliamps, more limited than that of Galaxy Note that up to the 2,500. The new LG machine will incorporate multimedia HDMI output, along with support for DLNA, which ensures that you will receive and transmit audio and video content from and to other compatible devices via the wireless network, becoming a peculiar streamer with a screen High quality. At first will come with Android Gingerbread, but over a period of three months after its release will upgrade to the latest version of the operating system, Android Ice Cream Sandwich. LG has scheduled the release of Optimus Vu in Korea for the month of March, without specifying when we find this curious artifact in the West. All other details about the new superphone signature will be announced when you start the MWC in Barcelona on Monday, February 27.
