For this side of the pond which discs have on your PSP will be obsolete in our PS Vita, which means that the "UMD Passport" allowing downloads of games for a fee to Sony's new console will be useless unless the company change its mind. Since PS Vita was launched first in Japan and then released dates for Europe and America, the benefits, features, and all you can do with PS Vita has us looking forward to and, apparently, we are left with the desire to a nice feature so it could be a quirk of Sony. In response to Kotaku , Sony revealed that would not be able to bring games to PSP PS Vita and when asked why, no explanation was given. For those unaware, UMD Passport program is a servcio with which we can register our games PSP and once validated can download Sony PS Vita, the price in Japan is equivalent to a range between 5 and 25 dollars. To operate the system requir users to download an application to recognize each PSP games and proceed to register. Unless Sony change my mind, there would be no way to transfer purchased games on UMD, only by those who have purchased digitally. So far there is no official statement by Sony, however, is quite depressing I do is offer a service in one place and not in others.
