Something that many can be very useful is that Foursquare may check-in automatically when we get somewhere, so that users of this network would forget to do this process each arriving at a registered location service . Although it sounds very simple to carry out, the reality is different and therefore we have not seen this feature implemented in any of its mobile customers.

In an interview with Business Insider, head of Foursquare Alex Reinert said this could become reality sooner than we thought and would be about to overcome the technical and design constraints that exist so far. And is that with the arrival of iOS 5 appear to have changed things and the implementation of the function radar would help in the process by providing the relevant features for geo in the background.

You just have to remember how the implementation of reminders used in iOS 5 we can notify you with an alert when we arrived and we left some default location, so Foursquare could theoretically use the radar function for their own purposes and so finally add the long awaited check-in machine.

Although there is no expected date for the release of an update product of this project, there is no doubt that we'll have more news about a few weeks. For the rest of the customers of Foursquare for other platforms, it is unclear whether they will have the fortune to have this innovative feature, but surely eventually seek ways to implement something similar.
