Besides being a visual explosion full of subtleties of design and a powerful tool for creating and productivdad, OS X Lion offers a feature unknown to many but is ideal when sharing a personal computer. With the introduction of this latest desktop operating system from Apple, a new element appeared in the startup screens or user access: mode -only Safari , perfect for guest users and security. As many know, Apple's operating system offers the ability to create multiple user accounts and a guest. These options are ideal when you share a computer with friends, colleagues and family: each can have your user profile, your settings and your personal space, esquivándole to fights that may arise from a digital living. Additionally, you can determine the privileges and restrictions of each individual, thus keeping locked certain files and documents. Now, with the introduction of OS X Lion, a new, simple and powerful element made its appearance: Safari-only mode for guests. Inspired by one of the pillars of Google Chrome OS, operating system built on a web browser and pointing to the life and work online, Lion offers the possibility to access a Safari-only mode, ie Web-only from the login screen and lock. Unlike that which seeks to be a web-based platform, the mode -only Safari is a proposal for safe navigation and isolation. Thus, anyone can freely surf the web, chat, check e-mails, social networks, and why not, enjoy YouTube videos without the obligation to have a custom user on the computer and, more importantly, no one should expose your system and documents to strangers or distant from the circle of trust.
So if your Mac desktop or laptop is almost a public tool, the option-only Safari is perfect to make sure no sniff out your personal information. But this way not only be seen as a protection in the workplace. Another usage scenario could be family life, where a father or a mother could give a MacBook Air to your child to do homework without this accidentally play with your data. Let's face it, most of our lives happens online, so using a web application from word processing or spreadsheet, a bibliographic reference site and why not, a messaging system is often more than enough to achieve the objectives. Finally, note that mode -only Safari could also be used in two senses. On the one hand, act as a private detective in case your computer is stolen. As detailed, access the Web from this would allow the location will connect and send the Mac to the usefulness of "Find My Mac." On the other hand, if your operating system crashes or for some reason can not use it, use the Web-only mode would allow you to access your e-mail, web searches, and discussion forums to find solutions to your problem. Undoubtedly, the mode-only Safari is much more than just a browser to start the computer. To access this mode just need to click on "guest user" on the home screen (if you have it turned on at power up) or lock when you close your user session (on the top of Lion).
